970–971.  Johannes Van Alen of Albany, New York. died in April, 1750. He was buried on April 12, 1750. Christina Ten Broeck was born in April, 1672, and died in Albany, New York, on October 4, 1744. They were married in 1701. She took the name Christina Van Alen. He is the son of Pieter Van Alen. She is the daughter of Dirck Wesselse and Christÿna (Van Buren) Ten Broeck. They had six children:

i. Maria Van Alen was baptized in Albany on February 7, 1703.
ii. Adam Van Alen was born in Albany in 1703, and died in 1784. This child does not appear in Ten Broeck Genealogy but figures prominently in Genealogical History of the Van Alen Family .... The latter does not have birth dates for any child except Adam. Clearly, the 1703 date conflicts with Maria's birth date. He is associated with the erection of the Van Alen House at the corner of Albany and New York post road in 1739. He married Maria Rosebloom in 1732; they had six children: Abraham E., Laurens E., Jacobus, Adam E., Dirck, and John Evert. John (1749–1807) was a member of Congress).
iii. Christina Van Alen [#485]: She was baptized on April 16, 1704, and died on July 28, 1753.
iv. Pieter Van Alen was baptized in Albany on August 18, 1707. He probably married Caatje Benthuysen.
v. Lena Van Alen was baptized in Albany on September 19, 1709, and died in Albany on April 27, 1766. She never married.
vi. Dirck Wesselse Van Alen was baptized in Albany on October 28, 1710. He probably married Catharina Johanna Ten Broeck.
