8G. Lida M. Gilbert was born in Byron Township, Kent County, Michigan, on Thursday, November 27, 1873, and died in Michigan on November 30, 1952. Robert M. Marshall was born in Kent County, Michigan, on Tuesday, November 19, 1867, and died in Byron Center, Kent County, Michigan, on April 14, 1939. They were both buried in Winchester Cemetery, Kent County, Michigan. They were married in Byron Township on Tuesday, June 21, 1892. She took the name Lida M. Marshall. She is the daughter of Truman and Henrietta P. (Robbins) Gilbert. He is the son of George and Ellen (Patterson) Marshall. Ellen Patterson was born in Scotland. They had four children:

Both Robert and Lida were living at home at R. #2, Byron Township, Kent County,
when they died. Her death certificate indicates that she had had
arteriosclerotic heart disease for 8 years, diabetes mellitus for 7 years,
and diabetic gangrene of the right leg for 7 days when she died.
Robert's death certificate indicates that he died of a cerebral hemorrhage
which he had had for 3½ months; he also had had chronic arthritis and
arteriosclerosis for 5 years.
