Elizabeth Winston was born in New Haven Colony on Tuesday, December 11, 1649, and died in New Haven on December 8, 1682. They were married in New Haven on Thursday, October 24, 1667. She took the name Elizabeth Alling. He is the son of Roger and Mary (Nash) Alling. She is the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Austin) Winston. They had six children:

His second marriage was to Sarah Chedsey in New Haven on Friday, October 26, 1683. She took the name Sarah Alling. She was born in New Haven Colony on Wednesday, October 12, 1653. She is the daughter of John and Elizabeth (_____) Chedsey. They had five children:

Samuel signed the New Haven Colony Contract in 1639. He was a blacksmith.
He died without a will and on October 20, 1709, his wife, Sarah, was appointed
administratrix, and Joseph Moss (his sister Mary's husband) and
John Punderson (son-in-law of
David and Damaris (Sayre) Atwater) were appointed appraisers.
His estate was inventoried at £526 7s and was distributed as follows.
Samuel the eldest received a double portion of £96 and Roger the third
had already received his share. The remaining eight children received £48
each. In addition, John was given a right to the in the homestead on the corner
of Church and Center Streets in New Haven, two acres in the meadows at
West Side, one acre in town, and eight acres near Roger's Farm (Allingtown).
Daniel and Caleb received land at Oyster Point. In 1711, Caleb and Esther
chose their mother as their guardian.
