662–663. Ebenezer Atwater was born in New Haven, Connecticut Colony, on Saturday, January 13, 1666. Abigail Heaton was born in New Haven in January, 1673, and died in New Haven on November 19, 1731. They were married in New Haven on Wednesday, December 9, 1691. She took the name Abigail Atwater. He is the son of David and Damaris (Sayre) Atwater. She is the daughter of James and Sarah (Street) Heaton. They had four children:
