534–535.  Nathaniel Buss was born in Concord, Massachusetts, on Friday, January 16, 1646, and died in Concord on December 17, 1717. His wife was Ann Hayes (Haes) They were married on Wednesday, December 16, 1668. She took the name Ann Buss. An unknown number of children were born, but included:

  Most of my Buss information is from notes inherited from my mother-in-law, who cites "Concord Mass. Births, marriages & deaths, 1635-1850" as her source. The first two generations appear in these notes as follows.
  1. William Buss ye son of Joseph Buss and Elizabeth, his wife dyed November ye 2, 1691.
     • Ann, wife of Ensign William Buss died Aug 3. 1674.
     • Ensign William Buss married Dorcuss Jones, Dec. 24, 1674.
  2. Nathaniel Buss, son of William and Ann Busse born Jan. 15, 1646. Died Dec 1717. Nathaniel Busse and Mary Haes (Hayes?) married Dec. 16, 1668.

  Whereas ye hand of God hath come forth against ye Inhabitants of Concord in a very awfull manner sending a very malign and fatal distempter among us whereby there hath ben a considerable number of prsons of men, women and children of all Qualities Sexts and ages that hath ben removed from among us by death, most of which has ben very suden and unexpected so that from the last day of november last past until ye day of ye date above written hath ben removed not less than 27 prsons, whereupon, I Thomas Brown of ye aforesaid Town thought meet to record a cattalogue of ye names of ye prsons as near in order an I can wch are as followeth
