Richard Lord is possibly descended from the Lord family of Yelvertoft,
county Northampton. The church registers in Towchester began in 1561 and the
earliest Lord item in them is the burial of Joane, the wife of Richard Lord
on September 22, 1610. His will is dated May 30, 1610; he was buried at
Towchester on October 16, 1610.
