Note that Menallen Township is now in Adams County, Pennsylvania.
On 26 Oct 1790 Daniel Rechs was bonded as administrator of the estate of (his brother) George Rechs of Menallen Township, York County. (sourced to York County Administrations, H:179). Therefore, John George must have died shortly before this date.
John George took the oath of allegiance 19 Jul 1777 with his two brothers, and
served as an Ensign in Captain Roeder's 5th Company of Heidelberg in the 1st
Battalion, Northampton County Militia, beginning in 1777 (sourced to the PA
Archives...). In the Spring of 1785, George and his family, with his brother
Daniel Rex, Felix Arner and others migrated to Menallen Township, York
(now Adams) County. George's relict, Mary Rex, was head of the family in
York County in the 1790 Federal Census, living next door to her brother-in-law,
Daniel Rex.
