28B. Andrew Jackson Youngblood was born in Cass County, Michigan, U.S.A., on Wednesday, April 5, 1837, and died in Volinia, Cass County, Michigan, U.S.A., on October 8, 1923. He died of typhoid pneumonia. Elsie Reames was born on Wednesday, May 11, 1842, and died in Volinia on December 15, 1918. She died of cerebral apoplexy. They were married in Cass County on Wednesday, October 25, 1865. She took the name Elsie Youngblood. He is the son of Peter Demoss and Mary Ann (Pollock) Youngblood. She is the daughter of Aaron and Lavina (Zane) Reames. Aaron Reames was born in North Carolina, Lavina Zane was born in Kentucky. They had eight children:

One of her roomers, Ernest Pierce, helped her much when she was sick. She sold her cemetery lot and was buried beside him. |
Andrew J. Youngblood fought in the Civil War. The Civil War Pension Index of Ancestry.com has a copy of his pension index. It states that he was in the "Corp 3 Indpt. Battery Ohio L. Art; F 4 Ohio Inf.". On March 4, 1897, he applied for a pension. His application number was 1,188,148 and his certificate number was 949,579, from Ohio.
