268–269.  Zechariah Fairchild was born in Stratford, Connecticut, on Sunday, December 14, 1651, and died in Stratford on June 23, 1703. Hannah Beach was born in Wallingford, Connecticut, on Tuesday, December 12, 1665. They were married in Wallingford on Thursday, November 3, 1681. She took the name Hannah Fairchild. He is the son of Thomas and _____ (Seabrook) Fairchild. She is the daughter of John and Mary (_____) Beach. They had nine children:

i. Mehitable Fairchild: born March 29, 1682, in Wallingford, Connecticut, died in September, 1684.
ii. Hannah Fairchild was born in Wallingford on August 1, 1685. She married Daniel Searles on 12 Dec 1706.
iii. David Fairchild was born in Wallingford on May 16, 1688. He married Deborah Hawley on 20 Apr 1711.
iv. Agur Fairchild was born in Wallingford on October 1, 1691, and died on May 4, 1712. He married Mary Booth on 20 Sep 1710.
v. Caleb Fairchild was born in Wallingford on September 10, 1693, and died in 1777. He married Ann Sherwood. Her name might be Ann Throwbridge.
vi. James Fairchild [#134]: He was born in Stratford on February 12, 1695/6, and died in Stratford in 1761.
vii. Mary Fairchild was born in Wallingford on May 7, 1698, and died on August 18, 1726. She married Ephraim Burritt on 14 Feb 1721/2.
viii. Zechariah Fairchild was born in Wallingford on November 21, 1701, and died on August 6, 1777. He married first Deborah Fairchild, second Lydia Hathaway, Mrs., and third Mary Peck, Mrs..
ix. Abiel Fairchild was born in Wallingford on January 15, 1703/4, and died on August 14, 1785. He married Lois Riggs on 8 May 1728.

Her second marriage was to John Burritt in 1708. She took the name Hannah Burritt.

Zechariah Fairchild died without a will. On September 6, 1703, administration of his estate was granted to his widow, Hannah, and John Beach. He left eight minor children (Mehitabel died young); six sons and two daughters. Guardians were appointed for the children: Capt. Matthew Sherwood for Caleb (11) and Agur (10); John Beach for James (7), his uncle; Joseph Beach for Mary (5), her uncle; Isaac Beach for Zechariah (2), his uncle; and widow Hannah Fairchild for Abiel (9 months). David (15) chose his uncle, Nathaniel Beach for guardian. On March 14, 1709/10, Matthew Sherwood having died, Agur (then 18) chose Lt. Agur Tomlinson.
