240–241.  Jeremiah Ten Broeck was baptized in Kinderhook, Columbia County, New York, on Wednesday, February 1, 1727, and died on October 24, 1802. Marytje Van Alen was born in Kinderhook on Tuesday, November 20, 1733. They were married on Thursday, June 10, 1756. She took the name Marytje Ten Broeck. He is the son of Samuel and Maria (Van Rensselaer) Ten Broeck. She is the daughter of Adam and Catherine (Van Alstyne) Van Alen. They had nine children:

i. Samuel J. Ten Broeck [#120]: He was born on March 28, 1757, and died on April 25, 1830.
ii. Adam Ten Broeck: He was born July 24, 1759; died May 30, 1826; married (1), at Claverack, New York, May 30, 1784, Lydia Maria Monson, baptized at Claverack December 19, 1762, daughter of Austin Monson, Jr., M.D., of New Haven, Conn., and Annatje Oosterhoudt; married (2), January 28, 1807, Hannah Morrison, born February 1, 1780, who died April 17, 1870.
iii. Maria Ten Broeck was born in Columbia County, New York, on January 2, 1762, and died in Claverack, New York, on April 26, 1835. She married her cousin, Samuel J. Ten Broeck, son of Johannes Ten Broeck and Marytje Hoffman. They were buried in the Claverack Reformed Dutch Church Cemetery. Records of this church show:

iv. Johannes Ten Broeck: He was christened on July 29, 1764, in Claverack, Columbia County, New York. He married Fytje Muller on December 18, 1785.
v. Dirck Wessels Ten Broeck: He was christened on December 24, 1766, in Claverack, Columbia County, New York. He married Lena Van Alen on June 25, 1796.
vi. Abraham Ten Broeck: He was christened on September 12, 1769, in Claverack, Columbia County, New York. He married Lena Van Alen.
vii. Jeremias Ten Broeck was baptized in Claverack, Columbia County, New York, on August 2, 1772, and died in December 1, 1826. He married his second cousin, Jane Ten Broeck, on November 15, 1792.
viii. [son]: born October 10, 1777, died in early infancy.
ix. Hendrick Ten Broeck: He was born November 20, 1779.

Jeremiah's will was made at Hudson, New York, on February 4, 1801. It was proved in 1806, one of the witnesses being Abraham Ten Broeck, Justice of the Peace in Columbia County.
