22D.  Junius McKenney was born in Belmont, Canada, on Sunday, May 21, 1854, and died in Kent County, Michigan, in 1937. Belmont is about 10 miles SE of London, Ontario. Dora E. Brudi was born in Kent County on Tuesday, March 1, 1859. They were married most likely in Kent County on Tuesday, October 31, 1876. She took the name Dora E. McKenney. He is the son of Samuel A. and Elizabeth Jane (Norris) McKenney. She is the daughter of John and Mary (Feiling) Brudi. John Brudi came to America from Germany as a young man. They had nine children:

i. Herbert O. McKenney was born on June 5, 1879, and died on January 8, 1880. He is buried in Winegar Cemetery, Byron Township.
ii. Ernest McKenney was born in Byron Center, Kent County, Michigan, in 1880, and died in Takoma, Washington, in 1953. He graduated in the class of 1897 from the Byron Center public schools and had a tendency for railroading.
iii. Stanley McKenney was born in Byron Center in 1882, and died in Byron Center in 1972. He graduated from Byron Center public schools in 1900 and married Anna Rollins, 1883–1969. Their eldest child, Lorna, who was accidentally poisoned, is buried with them in Winegan Cemetery, Byron Township (1908–1911). Their other children were Merle McKenney, Donald Duane McKenney, Otto McKenney, Lois McKenney, and Percy McKenney.
iv. Velma McKenney was born in Byron Center on July 25, 1884, and died in Byron Center on September 2, 1904. Her tombstone gives her last name as Melson.
v. Ora Ethelyn McKenney was born in Kent County on September 12, 1885, and died in Byron Center on December 15, 1971. She married Harry Jay Huff, 1885–1955; they had five children, all born in Byron Center: Roger Duane,, Ronald Lester, Leroy Elton, Lula Marie, and Harold Kenneth.
vi. Hazel McKenney was born in Byron Center in 1887, and died in Byron Center in 1983. She married Stanley Forsyth; they had one child: Dorothy Ann Forsyth. Hazel is buried in Winegar Cemetery, Byron Township.
vii. Vera A. McKenney was born in Byron Center on July 15, 1889, and died in Byron Center on November 28, 1901. She died of diabetes. She is buried in Winegar Cemetery, Byron Township.
viii. Dyre McKenney was born in Byron Center on March 16, 1891, and died in Byron Center on March 28, 1891. He is buried in Winegar Cemetery, Byron Township.
ix. Duane L. McKenney was born in 1892, and died in 1945. He married Hallie Thompson who was born in 1894; they had one child: Mildred A. McKenney. After his death, she married Hallie TerHaar. Duane is buried in Winegar Cemetery, Byron Township.
