1934–1935. Mattheus (Teuwis) Abrahamsen Van Deursen was born in The Netherlands about 1629. Helena Robberts was born in Albany or Claverack, New York, about 1635. They were married in what became the State of New York in 1653. She took the name Helena Van Deursen. He is the son of Abraham Pietersen and Trijntie (Melchiors) Van Deursen. They had 11 children:
