The first was born in Middleville, Michigan, the second "out west".
On the back of the picture was written "George Gilbert; 1888;
Woodburn Oregon; Dad's (Walter Joshua Gilbert) double cousin. It is from this
that we know that Eliza (Robbins) Gilbert was a sister
of Henrietta (Robbins) Gilbert.
The IGI gives a Cora Stimpson born 15 May 15, 1868, in
Thomapple, Barry County, Michigan; her parents were
Oster W. and Ellen M. Stimpson.
There are two tombstones in Belle Passi Cemetery that could be George and
Cora's: George T. Gilbert 1865–1918, and Carrie T. Gilbert,
died Apr. 13, 1902, Aged 32yr 8mo 14 da, Wife of G.T. Gilbert

Eliza Robbins was a sister of Henrietta P. Robbins who married Joshua's brother,
Truman Gilbert. Therefore, George and Viola were double cousins of the
children of Truman and Henrietta.
Notes of Walter Joshua Gilbert say that the family moved to Oregon.
