(His tombstone says he lived 59 years, 2 months, and 27 days.) Eliza M. Robbins was born in New York, U.S.A., on Thursday, June 23, 1836, and died in Woodburn, Marion County, Oregon, U.S.A., on August 19, 1907. Her tombstone says that she lived 71 years, 1 month, and 27 days. They were both buried in Belle Passi Cemetery, Woodburn, Oregon, U.S.A.. They were married in Williams County, Ohio, U.S.A., on Sunday, July 25, 1858. She took the name Eliza M. Gilbert. (Marriage information from the IGI.) (Marriage information from the IGI.) He is the son of Walter and Hannah (Calvin) Gilbert. She is the daughter of Timothy Titus and Phoebe (Conklin) Robbins. They had two children:

George Gilbert:
On the back of the picture was written "George Gilbert; 1888; Woodburn Oregon; Dad's (Walter Joshua Gilbert) double cousin. It is from this that we know that Eliza (Robbins) Gilbert was a sister of Henrietta (Robbins) Gilbert. The IGI gives a Cora Stimpson born 15 May 15, 1868, in Thomapple, Barry County, Michigan; her parents were Oster W. and Ellen M. Stimpson. There are two tombstones in Belle Passi Cemetery that could be George and Cora's: George T. Gilbert 18651918, and Carrie T. Gilbert, died Apr. 13, 1902, Aged 32yr 8mo 14 da, Wife of G.T. Gilbert |
Eliza Robbins was a sister of Henrietta P. Robbins who married Joshua's brother, Truman Gilbert. Therefore, George and Viola were double cousins of the children of Truman and Henrietta.
Notes of Walter Joshua Gilbert say that the family moved to Oregon.
