166–167. David Alling was born in New Haven, Connecticut Colony, on Sunday, February 2, 1723/4, and died in Canaan Mountain, Litchfield, Connecticut, on April 22, 1794. Rhoda Alling was born in New Haven on Saturday, September 23, 1727, and died about 1756. They were married in New Haven on Thursday, January 12, 1748/9. She took the name Rhoda Alling. He is the son of Nathan and Hannah (Todd) Alling. She is the daughter of Caleb and Thankful (Mix) Alling. They had three children:
