148–149.  Jacob Titus was born in Westbury, Long Island, New York, on Thursday, July 1, 1703, and died probably in Westbury, New York, in 1777. His death date has been given as 1796; Quaker records give 1777. Margaret Germain was born probably on Long Island, New York, about 1705, and died in _____ _____. They were married probably in Westbury on Thursday, November 18, 1725. She took the name Margaret Titus. He is the son of John and Sarah (Willis) Titus. She is the daughter of Isaac and Margaret? (_____) Germain. They had eight children:

i. Timothy Titus [#74]: He was born in Hempstead, Queens County, New York, on October 7, 1726, and died in Oyster Bay, Nassau County, New York, on October 31, 1802.
ii. Phila Titus was born in New York on November 11, 1727.
iii. Elisabeth Titus was born in New York about 1729.
iv. Phebe Titus was born in New York in—say—1728–1740.
v. Margaret Titus was born in New York in—say—1728–1740.
vi. Sarah Titus was born in New York in—say—1728–1740.
vii. Samuel Titus was born in New York in—say—1728–1740.
viii. Jacob Titus was born in New York in—say—1728–1740.

The Westbury Monthly Meeting of the Quakers states that Jacob was a Quaker but that Margaret was not, that he married out of the Society.
