1338–1339.  John Chedsey was born about 1624, and died in East Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut Colony, on December 31, 1688. Elizabeth _____ was born about 1630, and died in East Haven in 1688. They had ten children:

i. Mary Chedsey was born in New Haven Colony on September 22, 1650, and died on October 9, 1650. She died in infancy.
ii. John Chedsey was born in New Haven Colony on October 21, 1651, and died in 1693.
iii. Sarah Chedsey [#669]: She was born in New Haven Colony on October 12, 1653.
iv. Joseph Chedsey was born in New Haven Colony on December 5, 1655, and died in 1712. He married Sarah _____.
v. Daniel Chedsey was born in New Haven Colony on July 3, 1657, and died on June 4, 1667.
vi. Mary Chedsey was born in New Haven Colony on November 24, 1659. She married William Wilmot on 20 Oct 1692. Among their children was a daughter Mary who married Jonathan Gilbert. (Read about the early New Haven Gilbert family which is separate and distinct from the main Gilbert line of this genealogy.)
vii. Caleb Chedsey was born in New Haven Colony on November 20, 1661, and died on February 20, 1713. He married Ann Thompson on 10 May 1688. He married Hannah Dickerman in 1693. She is the daughter of Abraham and Mary (Cooper) Dickerman.
viii. Hannah Chedsey [#670s]: She was born in New Haven Colony on January 9, 1663, and died on December 11, 1693.
ix. Ebenezer Chedsey was born in New Haven, Connecticut, on February 10, 1665/6, and died on September 26, 1726. He married Pricilla Thompson.
x. Elizabeth Chedsey was born in New Haven, Connecticut Colony, on December 16, 1668, and died on July 16, 1688.

They were both from New Haven. He was a deacon.
