Mary Cooper was born in England about 1636, baptized on Sunday, August 15, 1641, and died in New Haven on January 4, 1705/6. They were married in Dorchester, Suffolk, Massachusetts, on Sunday, January 2, 1658/9. She took the name Mary Dickerman. He is the son of Thomas and Ellen (Elinor) (Whittington) Dickerman. She is the daughter of John and Mary (Woolen) Cooper. They had eight children:

Abraham Dickerman, son of Thomas Dickerman, was born about 1634. He married, January 2, 1658/9, Mary Cooper, born about 1636, England, died January 4, 1705/6, daughter of John Cooper. Her father had been with the New Haven colony from the first and was a planter, freeman, and signer of the "fundamental agreement."
