1310–1311.  Ezekiel Sanford was born about 1637, baptized in Milford, Connecticut, and died in Fairfield, Connecticut, in 1683. His wife was Rebecca Wakelee (Wiekle) They were married in Fairfield on Tuesday, April 25, 1665. She took the name Rebecca Sanford. He is the son of Thomas and Sarah (_____) Sanford. They had seven children:

i. Sarah Sanford [#655]: She was born in Fairfield on March 25, 1666, and died in Fairfield in 1753.
ii. Ezekiel Sanford was born in Fairfield on March 6, 1668, and died in Fairfield on March 2, 1728/9. He married Rebecca Gregory, daughter of Samuel Gregory.
iii. Mary Sanford was born in Fairfield on April 3, 1670. She married Theophilus Hull, son of Cornelius and Rebecca (Jones) Hull.
iv. Rebecca Sanford was born in Fairfield on December 13, 1672, and died in Stratfield, Connecticut, in March, 1725/6. She married first, John Seeley in about 1690; second Benjamin Nichols in 1711; and third, John Mann on May 24, 1716, in Stratford, Connecticut.
v. Thomas Sanford was born in Fairfield on May 2, 1675, and died in Stratford, Connecticut, on May 20, 1757. He married Hannah Stevens, daughter of James Stevens of Killingworth.
vi. Martha Sanford was born in Fairfield on June 29, 1677. She married Nathaniel Hoyt.
vii. Elizabeth Sanford was born in Fairfield on September 6, 1679. She married first, Joshua Jackson; second, Joseph Jackson on November 28, 1699; and third, Thomas Chambers.

Rebecca is possibly the daughter of James or Henry Wakelee. Her name has been spelled "Wiekle".

Ezekiel Sanford received a grant of land from the town of Fairfield on January 16, 1673/4.

His estate was inventoried in 1683. His will included: his widow; eldest son Ezekiel, other son Thomas; daughters Sarah, Mary, Rebecca, Martha, and Elizabeth. An agreement of the children dated November 2, 1697, was signed by Ezekiel and Thomas Sanford, Cornelius Hull for his wife Sarah, Theophilus Hull for his wife Mary, John Seeley for his wife Rebecca, and Martha and Elizabeth Sanford.
