1304–1305. Thomas Sherwood was born in England about 1624, and died in Fairfield, Connecticut, about 1698. His wife was Sarah Wheeler He is the son of Thomas and Alice (Seabrook) Sherwood. They had two children:

His second marriage was to Ann Turney. She was born in Hollingdon Soulbury, Buckinghamshire, England, on Friday, January 8, 1636. She is the daughter of Benjamin and Mary (Odell) Turney. They had eight children:

His third marriage was to Elizabeth Cable. She was the widow of John Cable. They had no children.
His fourth marriage was to Sarah Hide. She was the widow of Peter Coley and daughter of Humphrey Hide. They had no children.
Per Families of Old Fairfield:
His son Thomas had received his "portion" and given a discharge for it, but on 9 Nov. 1681 Thomas, Sr., discharged him from his discharge.
[His estate was] Inv. 12 Mar. 1698/9. Adm'n granted to Benjamin and Samuel Sherwood.
Agreement 14 Mar. 1700 between Benjamin, Samuel, and Isaac Sherwood, sons of Thomas dec'd; Benjamin was to pay certain amounts to his sister Phebe Sherwood and to John Bradley towards his wife Hannah's portion. On 11 Mar. 1728/9, Isaac Sherwood of Norwalk, Abigail Ogden, John Bradley, Sr., Joseph Banks, and Benjamin Sherwood, Jr., of Fairfield, quitclaimed to Banjamin Sherwood, Sr., Samuel Sherwood, and Daniel Sherwood, their interest in the Est. of Thomas Sherwood.
