1302–1303. John Sturges was born about 1624, and died in Fairfield, Connecticut, in 1700. Deborah Barlow was born in—say—1625. She is the daughter of John Barlow. They had seven children:

John Sturges had a legacy in the will of Daniel Finch in 1667. He testified in November, 1686, aged 62.
His will was dated March 4, 1697/8. It includes sons Jonathan, Joseph, John;
daughter Deborah Redfield, to whom he gave a negro boy; grandson
Christopher Sturges; son-in-law Richard Stratton and his five children
by daughter Sarah; daughter Abigail wife of Simon Couch, to whom he gave a
negro boy; son Thomas, not known to be living, if he returns home.
