DINNERTIME IN GREENBELT

Greenbelt is a town in Maryland, that was one of three "green towns
built
in the thirties under President Roosevelt.
This project is for the course
American Suburbia which is participating
in
Virtual Greenbelt
The home was the center of life for those living in the early days of
Greenbelt. To be accepted to live in the
community, the proper
family situation was required. This was to ensure that life in greenbelt
would center
around the family. One of the most important daily events that took
place in families in the forties and fifties was dinner. This project is
going to explore the facets of typical family dinners as they were in
early Greenbelt.
