Magnetic Disk Heritage Center

The Magnetic Disk Heritage Center. Excellent collection of images, video, retrospectives, and other archival matter pertaining to the history of disk storage.

As I wax nostalgic for a moment, I notice that the site overlooks one piece of crucial information about magnetic storage: the plastic write-enable rings from 9-track magtapes also made for excellent ammunition against neighboring cubicles. Shouldn't attempts to "preserve the historical legacy" of technological artifacts also celebrate the ancillary features that accompanied them?
