Infrastructure

The servers are down.

The elevators are slow.

The traffic’s too heavy.

The budget’s been bled.

At least we still have good water pressure.

Yeah, well, we can probably chalk up the intensity of the water pressure to the high lead content: little pellets of death raining down on us . . .

But here's something to lift those dark clouds: it's a beautiful day--glorious--and we're having Pad Thai for dinner. Mmmmm . . .

The scary thing is we're sitting across the room from one another.

Try IRCing while in the same room, sitting side by side on the same kind of chair, typing away at the same brand and model of laptop, that last one not having been planned.

And, at times, having conversations in silence.
