Chopping Onions

The best part about chopping fresh onions is the way the smell stays on your hands. At least until you wash them.

Two questions:

2) Garlic produce the same sensation of pleasurable lingering?

1) How does you household manage cutting boards, if you use them, for fruit such as apples and for the pungent trace leavers?
