Seems like everybody who’s anybody is up at AoIR this weekend. I’ve been enjoying all the blog coverage, much too abundant to link to here, but wanted to take special note of the posts (and another) on the MMRPG panel which included not only Jason Rhody on textual practices in Asheron’s Call but also another student of mine, D. Snyder, who’s doing major work on The Sims.

In your absence, we talked about you at dinner. (Me, Jason, D. and Kathleen Fitzpatrick.) If you come to Media Ecology in June, maybe I'll tell you what we said about you. ;)

Media Ecology, huh?

My apologies to Mr. Snyder--his presentation was also very interesting. If I had a whippy-dippy Ibook like *everyone else at the conference* (talk about AoIR envy!), then maybe my battery would have held long enough to include his presentation. Oh well. Someday I will be Compaq-free.
