Abstract

This is A Tail of Two Mice. Specifically, the ‘tail’ is comparing the efficiency and satisfaction levels between two styles of computer mice. One mouse has a scrolling wheel in the center, and the other does not. In today's internet world, people spend countless hours scrolling through web pages. In addition, mail folders of e-mail systems can hold hundreds of messages, forcing users to scroll through them when needed. Even every day word processors rely heavily on scrolling and searching for desired information. Therefore, this experiment sheds light on which style of mouse is preferable for these searching purposes.
